About The PLA

PLEASE NOTE the Peel Law
Association Library and its services are ONLY available to lawyers in-good-standing
with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Borrowing
The PLA Library is primarily a Reference Library and has limited
borrowing privileges. All borrowed materials must be signed out
in the binder located at the front desk. However, overnight use
is available to PLA members only. Overnight use is limited to a
maximum of three business days to a maximum of three books. Overnight
borrowing is not available for Reference Books, Indices or Case
Law and all materials are subject to immediate recall with no renewals.
Anyone who fails to return materials will be charged for replacement
costs. Sign-out privileges may be withdrawn at the discretion of
the PLA.
Court Use Borrowing
All library materials are available for in-court use except for
Reference Books and Indices to Case Law Reports. Any materials removed
for in-court use must be returned before 5:00 pm the same day.
PLA Library Services

- Internet access at FIVE computer workstations
- Laptop centers with FULL Internet Access
- Wireless Network and Internet Access (coming soon)
- Use of a Television & VCR
- Headphones for CD-ROM files
- Electronic Resources including:
- CD-ROMs
- DivorceMate (Forms & Tools)
- O’Brien’s Electronic Forms
- QuickLaw
- WestlaweCarswell (LawSource & FamilySource)
- Full Internet access
